Tips For Choosing The Ideal Jewelry To Match Your Wedding Dress

By Penny Olson I think that the best place to start when making plans for your wedding is turn to your dreams. Lets face it, we are women, and we've had a picture painted in our minds of how this day "should be" since we could pick buds and blooms from our mothers' rose bushes and pretend that we were brides. So we've had a pretty good idea of what we are looking for long before we actually set ourselves free in the endless sea of choices in styles, colors, themes, and even textures of the wedding world. One of the first things that most brides will do is start to shop for their dress. Sometimes, as I did, you will find that the "Perfect Princess Dress" that you always thought you'd have, just doesnt work for you. But this is absolutely fine, at least it will give you a place to start and you can take it from there. I would also suggest trying on everything that even slightly tickles your fancy. You may be surprised at what you like and what you do not. The only reason that I mention this in an article on choosing your jewelry is because life will be much easier if you choose your dress prior to choosing your accessories, not the other way around. First, take into consideration the cut of your dress. A sleeveless dress can carry a different shape of necklace and allow for more space on your chest for decoration. A halter-cut may be more appropriate for a very simple, single strand necklace or you may want to skip a necklace all together and focus on a pretty pair of earrings and a bracelet. Keep in mind that these are only suggestions and make decisions that will make you happy, it is your day after all! Second, have a good look at the way that your dress is decorated. It could have a very large pattern that covers the entire dress with sequins and pearls form head to toe. Or, it could be very simple with the only accents being in the cuts of the fabric such as different layering of materials, gathers, or pleats. The overall style of the dress is a crucial detail to consider when choosing jewelry that will compliment your ensemble. If you do not take the style of your dress into consideration, you could end up with a result that looks awkward and takes away from the over-all look that youve set out to accomplish. With simpler dresses, I would suggest going with jewelry that is more elaborate such as the Swarovski Three Point Crystal Necklace (see link below). Necklaces with this much detail work well with dresses that dont have much beadwork and really give the dress the classic statement that it deserves. With dresses that have alot of detail, I would suggest jewelry that will follow the theme of decorations in the dress, but go with something that will not understate the dress. For a dress that has a lot of sequins and pearls over the entire bodice, the Swarovski Crystal and Single to Double Pearl Necklace (see link below) would be the perfect companion. Make sure that all of your jewelry coordinates. You dont have to buy a set, although it would make your job of getting a classic look much easier and guarantee a flawless match. But if you decide to "mix and match" your jewelry, be sure that they have common elements, such as shapes, colors, styles or stones. Finally, if you have a very unusual dress, such as a family heirloom and you are having trouble finding jewelry that matches, visit the Brilliant Wedding Jewelry website. They can match colors, sizes, and cuts of Swarovski pearls and crystals that will compliment your perfect dress. There are many reasons to need this type of storage, but how do you go about choosing one location or the next? Really, is there a difference? There are several things that you should look for in the mini storage units that you plan to purchase. First, start by knowing what is available in your area. In most cases, you will be able to find several storage units that you can rent. Youll find them advertised on the web on various websites. Look for several so that you can compare what they have to offer. Next, you will want to understand just what is out there in several aspects. The first thing to consider is quality. You need an establishment that can provide you with high quality. The environment should be clean and organized. The facility should provide for temperature control as needed. Dating Checklist For Guys

By Janice Wee Going on a date? This dating checklist will help you leave a great impression. Start with your skin. Greasy skin is a turn off. A good skin care regime lets you look your best in all situations. I know of a woman who rejected a suitor because he had a face like a platter of grease. Sounds shallow but let's face it. A large part about the initial attraction between a man and a woman stems from outward appearances. Besides, good looks would help out in your career as well as your prowess with women. If you have a problem with acne or any other skin problem, do not hesitate to see a doctor about it. Masks may seem girly but if you do those in the privacy of your own room, who would know? After washing your face, mix kaolin with witch hazel to form a watery paste you can spread on your face. Spread it on, leave it until it dries. Do that once a day to manage acne and oily skin. So what are you going to talk about when you meet. Outward appearances count initially. Then conversation begins. Have you any idea what her interests are? Read up on the things that interest her so conversation would flow more easily. How about your hair? Do you wash your hair regularly? Do you apply so much hair gel or cream to hold your hair in place that if your date were to run her fingers through your hair, she'd get a nasty surprise? Wash and dry your hair before your date. Use something light to hold your hair in place if you must. Don't let her catch you preening though. Women get put off buy guys who appear too into their looks as most women prefer their men to appear naturally attractive. How about your body? Do you work out? Just before you get ready to meet her, do as many lunges, sit ups and push ups as you can for that pumped up effect before you met. Don't flex your arms or strut around like a peacock when you're with her. Again, women like to think you're naturally sexy. Next comes your mouth. Yes. Dental hygiene. You don't want to put her off with bad breath and the worst thing about bad breath is that the sufferer is usually oblivious to his or her condition. Check out these tips to avoid bad breath. Finally comes your scent. Yes, the way a man smells has a primal effect on women. I'm not talking about stale sweat that's brimming with bacteria. That smells foul. I'm talking about the scentless pheromones secreted with your sweat which you'd wash off after a shower. The problem is by getting rid of the stale sweat, you wash off what women naturally find attractive. I'm not saying you should quit bathing altogether. The resulting stench would drive a woman away. I'm suggesting you put back the sex appeal that went down the drain. It's all about pheromones. Spritz on some Pheromone cologne. It'll increase your attractiveness to women. How Does The Weather Impact Fishing?

By Trevor Kugler The weather can impact your success or failure as an angler to a much greater degree than you may think. I used to just do fishing, with no regard for how the weather might impact my fishing trip, and have since learned how big a mistake that was. We all have less and less time to actually get out fishing in the first place, so paying attention to how the weather might influence our trip is a great idea. The examination of the weather will give us more insight into the behavior of fish than almost any other single study. Studying weather is also a great idea to help keep you out of situations like the one mentioned earlier. As we all know, being comfortable while fishing is also important and few things play a bigger role in an anglers comfort than the weather. Have you ever had the pleasure of standing in a river when the weather changes and you're not dressed for it? I know from experience that this is absolutely no fun. Without getting too crazy about how the weather impacts fishing, let's discuss those things that are easy to pay attention to. The first are fronts. There are 3 types of fronts: Cold Fronts, Warm fronts, and Stationary fronts. When you watch the weather on the news, fronts are the lines on the weather map. They're normally red for warm fronts, blue for cold fronts, and a combination of read and blue for stationary fronts. When a front passes over the river, stream or lake that you intend on fishing, it effects the behavior of the fish. Here's an example, As a cold front passes, the temperature and humidity fall and air pressure begins to rise. The passing of a cold front is generally thought to have a negative effect on fishing. I've heard many people say that fish seem to have lock-jaw immediately following a cold front. And on the other hand, the passing of a warm front often implies that inclement weather is approaching and air pressures may fall (which is important to fishermen). Many people think of warm fronts as fish catching fronts. Many biologists attribute heavy feeding activity prior to the passage of a front to the fact that the passage of a front very often means winds and storms, which cloud the water and make feeding more difficult. There's something to keep in mind. The bottom line is that the weather effects the behavior and feeding activity of the fish and can be used to the anglers advantage. When fronts pass, the barometric pressure changes. When the atmospheric pressure fluctuates, it affects the air bladders in fish. A fishes' air bladder is what it uses to stabilize itself at different depths of water. When a fishes' air bladder isn't feeling right it won't want to eat. Do you feel like eating when you have an upset stomach? Well fish dont either, and changes in pressure can give them an 'upset stomach'. These are the basic ways that the weather impacts the behavior of fish. You can do more research and get as crazy as you would like about the effect the weather has on fishing, but these basics are all that I need. I increase my odds of catching fish, by paying attention to the weather and fishing accordingly. You can do the same thing, and increase your odds as well. Herbal Supplements For Alzheimer's, Do They Work

By Dennis Cutforth After a person has been diagnosed with Alzheimers disease or non-Alzheimers dementia he or she and their loved ones may feel desperate and frustrated with their physician's recommendations. Dietary supplements are an interesting option or add on to medications and may offer hope for individuals and families. However, consider all of the facts before trying one of these treatments and seek reliable information. Any drug or herb has benefits or risks attached and in combining them their can be possible interactions as well. The Integrative Medicine Approach Since herbs, vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids etc. are increasingly being studied for their potential benefit to patients it would make sense to go to physicians with training in this area. If you want cosmetic surgery you aren't going to seek out a physician who doesn't have any training in this area. Therefore you cannot rely on the advice of any physician who hasn't had training with nutritional approaches and in fact may be biased against non-drug treatments. He/she may be unaware of the up to date scientific information which has shown herbs and nutrients to be helpful for brain disorders. The type of physician that you should seek out is an Integrative Medicine physician. These physicians use a blended approach to healthcare, combining Conventional Medicine with appropriate Complementary and Alternative Medicines. This approach has proven to be safe and effective for a number of medical conditions. Taking over the counter herbal products without the advice of these experts could cause problems though. A study in the Jan-Feb 2005 American Journal of Alzheimer's Disease found - "Results show that the integrative treatment not only protracted [prolonged] cognitive decline for 24 months but even improved cognition, especially memory and frontal lobe functions." The American Journal of Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementias of Mar-Apr 2006 stated "Although some Food and Drug Administration-approved drugs are available for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, the outcomes are often unsatisfactory, and there is a place for alternative medicine, in particular, herbal medicine." What does the Scientific Medical Literature say about herbs? Let's look at the two most studied herbs with the best available information here, because there is a lot of scare mongering about the effectiveness and safety of herbal therapies. Gingko Biloba is it an Herb or Drug? Recent studies have shown positive results with a specially formed Ginkgo formula. The European Journal of Neurology in September 2006 reported in a randomized placebo-controlled double-blind study that Ginkgo was as effective as the drug donepezil. In fact the herb Ginkgo biloba is sold and regulated as a drug in Germany. This means that it should be treated as a drug and used with caution when combined with medications such as aspirin and other anticoagulant drugs while under the guidance of a physician. Galantamine is it a Drug or an Herb? The British Medical Journal (BMJ) in December of 2000, reported that galantamine appears to slow the decline in both cognition and functional ability in Alzheimer's patients. This was a large 653 study from 86 clinics, with patients suffering from mild to moderate disease. Interestingly, if herbs are as ineffective as critics say then why has this herb been granted FDA approval for sale as a prescription drug under the brand name Razadyne (formerly Reminyl). It is ironic that galantamine with over a 50 year history of use as a natural herbal product, from the snowdrop plant, is recognized as a drug but is still available without a prescription. In fact the drug Razadyne (Galantamine) is an herb. The drug is exactly the same as the herbal extract except for the price, naturally, pun intended. Before adding any supplements to Alzheimers or dementia treatment plans, consult with an Integrative Medicine physician to make sure its safe, right for you and wont interfere with any other medications. There are other promising herbs these physicians will be aware of to inform you about. Ask questions so you have a realistic expectation of what supplements can achieve as there is no cure, however, you can enjoy a better quality of life. Preserving Food With Tin Containers

By Arturo Ronzon The tin container has been a mainstay of the food industry when it comes to storing and preserving food for sale. The advent of plastics and other new materials for keeping food safe have not been successful in dislodging tin as one of the top choices when it comes to storing food. Tin is a metal that is mined mostly in the South East Asian region and parts of South America. Tin mines normally look like a gigantic hole in the ground with a huge tin miner digging are the center. The raw tin has to be smelted and purified before it can be used. Smelting involves indirectly heating the tin to extreme temperatures to remove the impurities. Ever since it was discovered that sealing food in an airtight container will preserve its freshness, the food industry has been looking at many options of implementing the discovery economically. The first attempts were with sealed glass bottles. Although the glass bottles worked very well, they do come with limitations. Glass was getting expensive to manufacture and they break quite easily. These limitations were holding the food business. When the tin can was invented, the food industry made huge steps in mass-producing preserved food for the masses. Tin cans were fairly easy to manufacture and were cheap too. This would increase the profit margin and suddenly, selling huge amounts of preserved food was good for business. The tin cans were capable of withstanding much more abuse than glass bottles so this made them very easy to ship to anywhere in the world. Furthermore, the size and shape of the tin containers are only limited to the production capability of individual factories. Due to the high degree of flexibility in manufacturing tin containers, businesses are not just limited to producing tin cans. The tin containers started to emerge in various shapes and sizes to cater to business needs and branding opportunities. Nowadays, we still see the tin can on store shelves. Not only that, we also have tin cookie containers, heart shaped tin chocolate containers and occasionally an exotic shaped tin container for special events.
